The Fiji School of Medicine Library is one of the largest medical libraries in the Pacific.The Library comprises two branches, the main library is in Pasifika Campus Library and the Environmental and Dietetics Library on the Tamavua Campus. A Library staff member is located at the Lautaka Hospital Library to support final year students undertaking clinical practice at the Hospital and in the surrounding area.


The Library's holdings include 8000 volumes, 50 printed journal titles, the core medical databases and a growing collection of multimedia material. Apart from the journal titles held in print, the Library subscribes to 1140 electronic journals through the Proquest database and a growing number through the World Health Organization's HINARI gateway.


The Fiji School of Medicine Library strives to provide quality customer-focused services and information resources to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the FSM community via its two libraries, Pasifika Campus Library and Tamavua Campus Library and the Library Website. The Library's customers include the staff and students of the School, health professionals working in the major hospitals and medical centres in Fiji, Ministry of Health Officials and bonafide researchers.


The Library's Mission Statement is:

"To provide a quality, customer-focused and flexible library and information service to support the staff and students of the Fiji School of Medicine and health professionals working throughout Fiji".
